Mentor program aids youth hunters in Pennsylvania

Robert Serfass, 11, of Stroudsburg and Garrett Manhart, 9, of Marshalls Creek can't get the smiles to go away.

They are some of the few kids under 12 to have ever harvested a buck in Pennsylvania.

Thanks to the mentored youth hunting program, which the Game Commission began in 2006, kids like Serfass and Manhart have the opportunity to hunt with a licensed hunter 21 years and older to guide them.
